I am a photographer and writer living in Edmonton, AB. I am interested in how stories get inside us and how we come to pass them on. Recurring themes in my work include sexual and gender identity (At the Same Time, I Wish U Were Here, The Commotion); maintenance, care, and labour (Notes on Digging A Hole, Lines, Sunne); and surveillance, perception, and observation (Ring, Maintaining the Interface). My work depends on the personal as a way of accessing the cultural and the political. I see photography as a means of both dissecting and representing the world—a mode of study, albeit a flawed one that depends on exclusion.
