I am a photographer and writer living in Edmonton, AB. I am interested in the limits of looking, and in how stories move and perpetuate. Recurring themes in my work include sexual and gender identity (At the Same Time, I Wish U Were Here, The Commotion); maintenance, care, and labour (Notes on Digging A Hole, Lines, Sunne); and surveillance, perception, and observation (Ring, Maintaining the Interface). I believe the metaphysical and the political are inherently bound to the mundane and the quotidian. I see photography as a means of both dissecting and representing these parts of the world. I see text and images as modes of study, albeit flawed ones that depend on exclusion.
